Gulu Walk: Next Step 0

Some work I did for Gulu Walk. The font is “Oh Yeah” from Münster Studio. I’ve done a lot of work on this project from helping develop the story to story boarding to the final product. I would’ve liked to of had more time to work on this project but I’m happy with the final result.

Get in line, GSG 5 second video. 0

This is my entry into Grey Scale Gorilla’s 5 Second Video contest. Meaning, Nick Campbell challenges his readers to submit videos, 5 seconds in length and of conceptual design stuff, this particular contest is about line and how it exists in motion graphics. The concept of the contest reminded me of Elastica‘s song Line Up so I chose the text “get in line” as I thought it sounded better then “straight lines only” for the text. The font is Avant Garde, the 3D text “line” is created using a preset from graymachine, be sure to check out his site for all sorts of cool graphics and the track is by Flying Lotus.

Never coming back wallpaper 0

Playing around in Photoshop and Cinema 4D creating a 1900×1200 wallpaper which you can download here.

Cinema 4D to After Effects tutorial 0

Another Grey Scale Gorilla tutorial where Nick shows us how to import a Cinema 4D scene into After Effects. I decided to apply some of my own ideas on to the projects as I wanted to expand on Nick’s idea and have a little fun. You can check out the tutorial here.

Grey Scale Gorilla Shatter tutorial 0

I saw this awesome Cinema 4D tutorial on Grey Scale Gorilla and had to try it out. Be sure to check out Grey Scale Gorilla for all sorts of cool Cinema 4D and After Effects stuff, very cool site.

Demo Reel updated 0

I’ve updated my demo reel after watching this video where Nick from Grey Scale Gorilla gives a talk to motion graphics students about how to be creative and get paid. Some really good advice for any of us who’re starting out in this field.
